Lempertz's work is characterized by an experimental work with space. Three-dimensional movements are captured via various materials and procedures and transferred into objects. His photographs often serve as a basis for further work with silicon - a material whose nature dictates that a work be completed within a certain time. Without the possibility of optimizing or predetermining the final product, working with silicone presupposes an inevitable randomness that requires acceptance and rejects any questioning.
LIQUID SKIN
The works of the Liquid Skin series are characterized by their individual uniqueness within a fixed framework: Through superimposed layers, accents through colour, the play between abstract forms and realistic images, as well as a contrast between the flexibility of the material on the one hand, and its long-term durability on the other.
