Collection: GENG XUE

Geng Xue is an internationally acclaimed contemporary artist whose practice spans sculpture, ceramics, moving image, and installation. Trained at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing and later in Germany, her work draws upon Chinese material traditions while unfolding deeply psychological and poetic narratives.

Working primarily with porcelain and ceramic sculpture, Geng Xue transforms matter into a carrier of memory, myth, and interior emotion. Her practice is distinguished by a singular ability to merge tactile precision with symbolic storytelling, creating works in which bodies, vessels, and organic forms seem to emerge from a dreamlike inner world.

Exhibited internationally in major institutions and biennials, her work occupies a unique position between traditional craft and contemporary conceptual language. Within the context of this exhibition, Geng Xue‘s sculptures offer an inward counterpart to Luo Yang‘s photographic gaze, allowing material itself to become a site where emotion, narrative, and psychological tension take form.
