Peter Granser's photographic and videographic works revolve around themes such as time, emptiness, nature and consciousness. They always begin with long walks to explore a new area. The sensual potential of walking, the exploration of space and the experience of atmospheric presence is formative for his way of working. Inspired by stays in China and Japan, Peter Granser founded ITO Raum (Japanese for thread) together with his wife Beatrice Theil in 2015. There, they combine contemporary art with high-quality tea and ceramics and enable concentration on the moment, while at the same time leaving room for communication.
